School Spotlights

Morning Arrival: STEM Bins 👷🏼‍♀️👷🏽

Third grade has introduced STEM bins during arrival, which makes mornings fun and engaging! Students start by completing their morning routines—unpacking, grabbing a chair, and writing their name and date. After that, they enjoy playing games, building with creative materials, and exploring with objects. In Ms. Reardon’s class, kiddos practice good manners through UNO, use their imagination to build with pipe builders, and improve their math skills with dominoes. Meanwhile, in Ms. Kepes/Eckles’s class, students also practice game manners in UNO, get creative with hashtag blocks, and recognize fun geometric patterns with Pentominoes.

Science Unit: Weather and Engineering 🌬️🏠

We're excited to explore weather patterns and learn how to stay safe during extreme weather conditions. Our students are having fun creating paper houses and figuring out how to prevent strong winds from blowing them away. They've been encouraged to put on their engineer hats and come up with clever solutions to make houses more stable in windy weather.

Children sit at desks in a classroom, engaging in an activity with white materials, while other students and educational posters fill the background.
